A Little Bit About Me...

A large part of earning my B.A. in Business Management consisted of writing reports and papers for everything from English to Market Research. In order to be successful in the business or psychology world, one has to have great writing and verbal skills to talk to clients and write up reports of findings. I have had experience with research for and compilation of reports for school and businesses in the area. I have also tutored numerous students from 5th grade to college juniors in math, English, statistics, and geography.
My teaching style is very patient, kind, and laid back. I believe that everyone has the potential to learn and finish the work they are given, so I very rarely tell someone how to finish a problem or correct a sentence. As a music graduate of Morehead State University, I was very much driven to achieve a level of excellence in education. I earned my BS is Music Education and have completed additional coursework required for re-certification. I have substiute taught many classes and did a long term position teaching 6th grade science. While teaching music for three years, I also worked as a tutor for Sylvan, where I gained tutoring skills. I also privately tutored in my home in the subject of math.
My teaching style is very hands on. I understand that students learn in a variety of ways. Some are hands on, and need to actually get their hands on the project to understand.
