I have worked in the field of special education for over 20 years in the non-profit sector and as a teacher in public school as well as private tutoring in a therapeutic setting. I am a high school teacher of 25.5 years. I graduated from Mobile College with a Bachelor of Science degree, and from Alabama State University with a Master's degree, both in education. My experience has been working with students that are academically disadvantaged. I have tutored elementary students in reading and language for over 10 years. It is my ultimate goal to see that each student strengthens/increase their areas of weaknesses in reading and language.
I'm a firm believer that all children are different, yet, all are capable of learning. I graduated from the University of South Alabama with an Elementary Education degree in December of 2005. During this time, I completed my student teaching at Holloway Elementary School. During the year of student teaching, I learned to work with diverse learning styles, varying stages of development as well as a multitude of learning tools.

I earned two bachelor degrees, BS in Social Counseling and BS in Behavioral Management, which has lead me into the helping profession. I also possess an AA degree in juvenile delinquency, which helps me deal with even the most difficult children of all ages.
