I love teaching and working with all age groups. I am patient and easy going. I believe all children can learn, but each does so differently. My goal is to find the best way for each individual. This often entails different approaches at times. I provide mainly a constructivist and sometimes "expert" (focus on facts) approach to learning. However, I have found that a variety of styles may be needed to help a student learn. I love to help children and adults learn and understand course material. I believe teaching is a form of behavioral modification and also adhere to the rule, "if the student has not learned, than the teacher has not taught". Every child has a unique learning style and it becomes the teacher's responsibility to adapt to each child's learning needs. Basically my teaching style changes for each person I interact with. I am a firm believer that teaching style should encompass diversity of instruction and assessment because the students themselves are very diverse. I will begin each lesson with an agenda and an intended learning goal. Instruction of the lesson will be delivered through a variety of media including text, videos, animations, etc. that would enhance the student’s learning.
