The most important element of teaching is to realize one is teaching a person. In a tutoring situation, it is especially important to discover exactly how to present material to the student. As a teacher, I seek to understand the student and then present the material using terms and examples the student can understand. Finally, I literally believe the only “stupid question” is one the learner doesn’t ask.

I have been in the educational field for over 15 years as a tutor, aide, and a classroom teacher. I have a degree in Food and Nutrition which contained many credit hours of science. I earned by BA in Psychology in 2010, and I consider myself a very well-rounded student. My main interest lies in Mathematics and Statistics, having completed undergraduate and graduate courses in both subjects.
