My experience as a newspaper editor helped me to develop a collaborative teaching style. I want to work with students to understand their questions and help them work through them and arrive at the conclusions on their own. I have a non-intimidating teaching style and want my students to walk away from the sessions not only understanding the answers to their questions, but also be able to apply that knowledge in future situations. Three years of experience in writing and editing as a staff member at the Grand Valley Lanthorn, a student-run newspaper at GVSU.
