I love helping others overcome obstacles to understanding, and showing them that they have the ability to do what they thought was impossible. I believe in building upon a solid foundation so that the student really learns and understands the concepts of a subject (and doesn’t just shoot for a passing grade). I like to discuss the material and include additional background information because that helps make the subject more interesting. Where formulas, memorization and/or calculations are involved, I will explain, practice, check for understanding and practice again. I also taught chemistry and physics years ago. Love to help students achieve their full potential. I did tutor biology, but I love also algebra.
