I have a variety of experience. Most of my tutoring experience is with older students, aged 15 or older. However, I feel that I could work with younger kids as well. I love learning, and I get excited when a student fully grasps the material. I try and reinforce a teachers method of teaching. After earning my MS in Counseling and Human Services I worked for a private agency where I had years of experience with children who had difficulties in school for any number of reasons. I often helped high school and elementary school aged children with course required materials including writing and math skills along with other behavioral needs. I have found that it is often required to teach study skills along with course material for retention and to ensure future achievement with minimal intervention.
