I have a doctorate in Physics, with dissertation in Atmospheric Physics. My undergraduate degree is in Meteorology, but the program entailed substantial physics and math courses. Currently I work as a postdoctoral researcher, and some semesters I teach Physics. Helping others understand physics is one of my great passions. I have a passion for teaching and working with children of all ages. I enjoy helping others and believe that teaching is a constant learning experience for the teacher/ tutor as well as the student. If at any point I reach a topic that I have not used in some time, I am willing to purchase a textbook or topic material in order to refresh myself, to better help the student. In most cases, I prefer to purchase material for myself in advance, so I am prepared for the student prior to meeting.

I enjoy teaching young adults, watching "the light bulb go off" as they come to understand concepts that had been eluding them. Math is a subject that centers around understanding and applying a surprisingly modest number of concepts.
