I tutored as a. contact tutor for Club Z of Memphis Tutoring. I did home tutoring for student in the Memphis school system ages ranging fro. 6-17 years of age. I tutored in the subjects of math, English and reading. I interacted with the teachers to see what extra help was needed for the students. At the end of the session I would talk to the parent informing them of the results from the session.

I graduated in 2003 from the University of Arkansas with a B.A. in Social Work with minors in both psychology and sociology. A Little Bit About Me...

As I graduated with an honors bachelor’s degree in Biology, I started working at my university as an academic tutor. Based on the performance of my students, I was further promoted to the “Lead Science Tutor” position where I could share teaching techniques and train incoming tutors as well. I had always been interested in teaching and been a good communicator to people of all age groups. I was the president of Society for Neuroscience and organized many community education outreach events. I worked as a tutor coordinator for the YMCA tutoring children from the ages of 12-16. I helped them in basic studies to ensure that they had a grade of a C or better. My goal is to open up an after school program so that I can help students who may need tutoring after school get the grades that they need to pass on to the next level. Working with children is one of my passions and I hope that one day I can help them more, especially to succeed in school.
I love working with children. I have 3 of my own and I am currently studying for a Master of Science in Higher Education so that I can teach.
