I have always loved to learn. In college, I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Biology. However, I made it a point to minor in Chemistry and Linguistics and to certify in American Sign Language. I have always had the desire to achieve the highest goals I could set for myself. While taking on the classes mentioned above, I learned great organizational skills and drive. I helped students at the University whenever they needed it. As a first generation college student, I appreciated when teachers made me feel special, and I try to do the same. I was a Resident Assistant and Wellness Coordinator for a dormitory at WVU for three years, where I received a Resident Assistant of the Year Award. I currently teach four sections of general biology lab and two sections of comparative anatomy lab. I was awarded the 2010 Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year award for the Department of Biology with a 93% evaluation rate.
