I teach all grades and university levels, but my specialties are AP Courses and university courses. A Little Bit About Me...

While I was university student I used to be private teacher for short groups of students in Mathematics and Physics. Until last semester I helped my first son in Physics in the college and currently I help my little son in his fourth grade homework. I love tutoring and mentoring kids, period. It's spiriturally rewarding to me as an adult to have a part in a child's development. I believe every child is special. A Little Bit About Me...

Since I acquired language using primarily the conversational method, that is my basic approach to teaching. Of course there are the basics of grammar and syntax, style and such, all of which are necessary, but if you cannot open your mouth and produce an intelligible phrase, then what good is it to acquire another language? I approach this method through dialogue with my pupil - the Aristotelian method, if you will. I ask the questions, they provide the responses and I correct them on the points of grammar that are applicable to the extent situation. This, I believe, frames the lesson in a practical application, as opposed to mere rote memorization. It's the method that worked for me, so I believe in it and I use it.
