A Little Bit About Me...

I prefer to teach in a classroom environment with a structure and learning standards. I can also teach in a one on one tutoring session. It is helpful to have good teaching materials and resources available. I like to have the opportunity to prepare lessons and have the ability to write lesson plans and prepare lessons. I have a proven ability to follow through with those lesson plans. I prefer to have the appropriate support for the teaching environment and at times I have been known to refuse to teach unless I have been given the opportunity to prepare for the teaching event in advance. I worked 2 years as an adjunct professor at the University of Florida and was a volunteer instructor at Brigham Young University. I speak Japanese fluently and am semi fluent in German.

A Little Bit About Me...

I use the same method that I used on my son to achieve; we sit down, isolated, and concentrate on just what the problems are and how to achieve the end results. No messing around. I am not strict but I believe in having the child focus on just what the subject matter is. I had one student who I took from a 34 in Algbra to a 95 in one month but it took devotion from him and I. It was about 2 weeks in the session before he realized just how important his education was and then he took off, it was like a new person. I love children and believe that everyone of them can be academically successful. All children, in my eyes, are precious, and deserve a chance in life to achieve.
