My comments on tutoring Drama : As a graduate of George Washington University with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater and Communications, I have worked in Washington, DC area theater since 1989 as a director of both professional and student productions. While my productions have been nominated for awards, including Best Production, Best Director, Best Actor and Best New Play, I specialize in mentoring actors. In this role I have helped actors young and old prepare and perfect their monologues for local and academic auditions. I also work as an orals coach, helping business people focus on communication and presentation skills.

After graduation from American University, I continued to substitute and in the fall of 2005 I took a part-time position at a middle school, teaching Theatre Arts and Music Performance Lab. I enjoy working with younger generations. I believe stimulating intelligence and creativity in younger people sometimes requires thinking outside the box. Following instructions and completing homework certainly is a priority, as that prepares for adulthood.
