My comments on tutoring Spanish : I am only two courses away from completing my Spanish minor at Ball State University and have been taking Spanish classes for 9 years now. I could successfully help a second-year college level or lower.

I am in my third year at Ball State University. I recently changed my major from Biology to Accounting; therefore, I have lots of knowledge in many different areas - some that aren't listed on my profile. Learn conversational Spanish quickly and fun! Noblesville+

I teach conversational Spanish. I use object lessons, hands on word association, cultural interaction, and some mild homework. Learning Spanish quickly will not happen from reading a book or watching a video, it must become of your daily interactions. Learning to read and write in Spanish will occur, but speaking the language conversationally is our desired goal.
I have my masters degree in missions and evangelism from Asbury Seminary. I have been on several missions fields and have learned several languages fluently. Recently I was a missionary to Guatemala where I became fluent in Spanish within 3 months. I would characterize my teaching style as relationally oriented. I want the student to know that I care about him or her. I may not articulate as much, but I want the student to see that I am giving my time to serve their needs and not my own. Loosely speaking, I am also a proponent of multiple intelligences. The creative teacher can usually identify a way to relate material and content using a methodology that connects. My teaching style is based in facts. I philosophically reject radical post-modernity which posits that truth is a moving target. The student does not have the right to tell me that 1+1 = 3 because 1+1 = 2.
