Many students learn at different rates and need instruction that is based on their weaknesses. Children should be taught in a motivating, caring and empathetic environment. My preferred style of teaching is student-lead. I believe in the Socratic method, but appreciate following a curriculum, as well. I volunteer at a Montessori school and I know that getting learners of all ages interested and excited about a topic is the key to retention.
