My comments on tutoring Special Education : I have a minor in Special education.

I learn visually and by reading the subject materials. I teach by showing students what they need to know by reading and using visual aids in my teaching style. I incorporate technology in my teaching because some students are hands on. I teach students in groups and individually.
I will be graduating from the University of Dayton with a Master's of Education degreee and I have a Bachelor’s degree in History. I love History and want to teach Social Studies in grades 4th-9th. I want to make a difference in the lives of people. I have been a substitute teacher for grades K-12 and have worked in special education classrooms. 2 years ago when I quit teaching Spanish I thought I did not want to teach again, but when I was called upon to do a semester long subbing stint in a high school Emotionally Disturbed unit, all my original feelings for teaching came back. A Little Bit About Me...

The most important thing to me in teaching anyone anything is finding out what level they are currently at. In order to learn something, take something in and understand it, one must have something already to attach it to in their minds. I like to adapt my teaching to the personality and learning style of whoever I am teaching, and think that a big part of teaching is help and encouragement.
