My comments on tutoring Special Education : I have a minor in Special education.

I learn visually and by reading the subject materials. I teach by showing students what they need to know by reading and using visual aids in my teaching style. I incorporate technology in my teaching because some students are hands on. I teach students in groups and individually.
I will be graduating from the University of Dayton with a Master's of Education degreee and I have a Bachelor’s degree in History. I love History and want to teach Social Studies in grades 4th-9th. To be honest I worked as a Substitute because I was Laid off from my job. But when I started teaching I found it was very difficult to keep control of the class and to get the students to do their work. I thought I couldn't do this anymore. I didn't quit and things did get better. I learned that most of these children were from single parent homes, and were living below the poverty level. They were scared, hungrey and tired at times, and I new I had to adjust for me to be of any help, and I did.
