I have always enjoyed playing the piano. And I took extreme satisfaction from teaching piano. I would sit beside them while they played the pieces I had assigned to them to practice since the previous lesson. If they had problems or questions about something, I was there to help. We'd talk and laugh, and I hoped they learned through it all. Above all, I never wanted to yell at them or berate them, because I knew they'd never learn if they felt pressured or thought I was there only to critize them. While I don't think I ever had any junior Beethovens, I'd like to think there are several people out there now who still enjoy sitting down at a piano every now and then to play something.

I have been a tutor in a GED class and also I was a Teachers Assisntant For the city school district of Albany,NY. I worked one on one and in a self contained special education class with 6th,7th and 8th grade students.
By myself being a person who has a GED and went to Job Corps. My teaching style is related to my background as overcoming all types of odd's in order to succeed.
