Drama is one of my top subjects! I have many years of theatrical performances as well as a degree from American Musical and Drama Academy (AMDA)in New York, NY. I have traveled all over the world performing, directing, and producing various theatrical performances. I am also an experienced Talent Agent that knows what it takes to achieve success in the film and modeling industry.

I have always approached a teaching lesson as a learning opportunity. Learning is a fundamental skill. If you don't have your basic fundamentals, your student will have difficulty advancing. So, I always start with basic fundamentals such as; note taking, study skills, and comprehension! All sciences demand the ability to link concepts together. Ex. cells make up tissues, tissues make up organs, organs make up organ systems,etc.....! By understanding the make-up of cellular structures and relating that to tissue functions the students can fully understand a subject. This proves true with all subjects. By impowering the student with good base fundamentals, my students find it easier to link concepts together.
I obtained a B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in aquatic science, from Wittenberg University in 2006. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored elementary students i ... read more

Drama is one of my top subjects! I've been a drama or theatre tutor in the past. It's one of the most fun subjects to help someone learn in.

I recently graduated with a double major in theatre and public relations. I've been doing both for 5 years. In theatre I have been both on and backstage for numerous productions as well as assisted three Acting I classes throughout my college career. I've directed, stage managed, acted, designed, built, and teched over 20 shows in total. In public relations, I've written press releases, news articles, made media press kits, interned at a non-profit organization where I created marketing materials with InDesign and Photoshop.
With acting or theatre, I like learning my subjects style of learning and going from there. It's very easy to coach someone through an acting exercise once you know the way that they learn the best. In Public relations, it is a bit harder to figure out the best way to teach each person, because it is a more straightforward, fact based art.

I am Stefany Rodríguez and I just moved from Puerto Rico all the way to Florida. I graduated highschool and now am studying Drama at Valencia college. My background is filled with academic success, especially in areas like theatre and music. I have participated in many plays, such as Oedipus Rex, Hercules, World War 2, and Les Miserables. I have alwayshad a great work and study method which is what has kept me focused in all my projects. I am a great vocal and drama teacher, since it is my passion and I love for the world to get curious and want to love it as much as I do. As for spanish, I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, so spanish is my first language and I know it very very well.
I have a lot of patience when it comes to teaching. Also I believe that a good way to learn is not so much in theory, but rather a hands on kind of technique. So, I love talking and giving examples, ... read more

I teach the basic concepts of acting through Stanislavski and Chekhov. I focus on character development as well as scene analysis. When analyzing a play or story, I focus on the basic concepts such as inciting incidents, major dramatic question, climax, the point of attack, resolution, the theme, and characters. I work with the student so he/she can find these elements and talk about them and expound on them. I work as fast or as slow as the student needs.
I earned my A.A. in Theatre Arts at College of Central Florida in Ocala, Florida. I then moved to Lakeland and earned my B.A. in Theatre Performance at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. Last summer I was an assistant teacher for the summer camp at the Civic Theatre in Ocala, Florida.

I love the learning process and the excitement of success. I believe that not all students learn the same way and am commited to finding the connection that will make the child that I tutor successful. I live for the "ah ha" moment when we both realize that the information has been learned and retained.
I earned my Bachelors of Arts degree while working full time. I also continued to pursue employment that enabled me to work on my own. I have tutored not only my child to become an A/B student but also worked with another student, voluntarily, who was struggling in school. In today's work environment whether you strive to go to college or become a tradesperson your ability to learn is paramount. Having a tutor or coach to assist the student can be a rewarding experience for the student as well as the teacher.

A Little Bit About Me...

I strongly believe that each person/student has within them unlimited potential to reach his/her dreams. Sometimes these dreams can be buried under experiences that are discouraging or lead to a diminished belief in oneself and life, but through the patience and compassion of a significant person who teaches by building on strengths through small successes, I believe confidence and hope can be nurtured and restored, and skills can grow. I strongly believe in the relationship between teacher and student that can produce miracles and change lives. My goal with each student is to create a safe and stable bond in which he/she can learn, thrive, grow, and experience the kind of success that allows hope to blossom and dreams to become real and attainable goals.
I highly value my hands-on, real-life experience raising, guiding, and educating my gifted daughter, who has excelled beyond my ... read more

My educational background is stellar. The most important tool that I have acquired during all of those years, however, is NOT memorization, NOT spelling or grammar - it's the ability to THINK. Looking at the "Big Picture" enables me to see beyond the immediate problem, to find long-term, sustainable solutions. This skill extends across disciplines--whether they be English, mathematics, history or Spanish.
I believe in "Yes, You Can!", instead of "No, You Can't." Positive reinforcement and an emphasis upon disciplinary "best practices" can fertilize the seeds of personal and academic growth. In particular, I believe in focusing upon HOW a student learns. For instance, if a student learns visually, I like to tailor learning strategies toward that student's strength.

My experience as a teacher has brought me to know that all children are different, and some of them will excel in things that others want, and my job as a teacher or tutor is to bring out the uniqueness in whatever child I am privileged to teach. I like to have fun while teaching, and try my best to make every student feel both excited and comfortable about their learning environment and experience. Henry Brooks Adams said, “A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops,” and I believe that children are our tomorrow and we must begin shaping them today.
I love children and have a desire to see all children taught in academic excellence. Teaching is something that comes natural to me. I love teaching, but most of all I love making a difference in the lives of the children. Throughout my teaching career, I was continually amazed by the abilities of our child ... read more

Most of my 15 years professional experience has involved working with children and youth in a variety of settings including in a preschool as a Teacher, in therapeutic day school for students with special needs as a Teacher's Assistant, in residential facilities where mentoring and role modeling were an essential function, as well as in after school programs in which I tutored students. My degree in psychology has given me a foundation to not only teach social sciences but it has also complemented my professional experience.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a teacher who realizes all students can improve if they receive motivation and instruction appropriate to their specific circumstance. I believe it is important to encourage individuality, creativity, critical thinking, and determination in all subject areas. Ideally, every assignment should be relevant and challenging, but tempered with access to a patient teacher.
After graduating with a degree in Elementary Education in 2001, I taught 2nd grade for one year. As a first year teacher, I completed the Teacher Induction Program, also known as the TIP Program. Additionally, I took and passed the following state exams: Professional Ed, Elementary Ed, and Middle Grades Mathematics. A desire to to attain specific math certification arose when I relocated to a different county and accepted a position teaching middle school math.
