Education does not stop with books. I incorporate "real life" experiences with the material being presented. I try to make the subject fun and meaningful to the student. My classes are run with volunteer participation. (They "jump and do" at the board.) I enjoy helping others and watching the lightbulbs come on with whatever level of student I am working with. I take homework, quizzes, and tests personally. They evaluate the student as well as me. Am I presenting the material in a manner that is understood? I try to convince students that fractions are our friends.
I have been teaching Reading Strategies and Basic Math at a community college for approximately 10 years. A Little Bit About Me...

I greatly enjoy spending time with children, specifically seeing their areas of growth. Each learning experience is a moment of joy and excitement for them, and it is wonderful to be a part of that process. I am patient, flexible, and strive to make the learning experience as fun as possible, considering learning another language takes place best in an easygoing and laid back environment. The French language is one of my passions and I want to pass my love and learning to others.
Always loving French, I majored in the language and excelled during my Study Abroad experience.
