I have passed the Intermediate math OSAT(Oklahoma Subject Area Test) I am in the process of becoming a certified Oklahoma Teacher. I spent the last several years preparing to become a teacher and have enjoyed every bit of it. I have spent time in the classroom, varying from 4th grade and up not only in math classes, which I will be teaching, but others as well. Although it was not necessary to get a Minor in Education to become a teacher, I decided that it would be in my best interest to gain as much knowledge on different teaching styles and approaches to developing my own classroom environment. All students have the ability to learn it just comes down to understanding the best way to help a student achieve at the highest level possible. I am currently heading for a BS in Elementary Education while I am home schooling my children. I have home school grades 6-11. I have accomplished raising reading levels within 6 months past 2 grades past level. I have tutored and home schooled children outside my own and have been asked to assist children with reading.
