I am a Senior attending the University of Central Oklahoma pursuing a bachelor in Applied Computer Science. Teaching to me is a matter of discovering those small differences in learning style that students may not recognize and having the flexibility to offer a variety of paths to understanding. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching at the college level for 6 years, and I have 2 years of earlier experience at the middle school level as well. My BS in Electrical Engineering enables me to tutor effectively in math and science, and my PhD in Philosophy qualifies me for Science, History, and some writing help (I have published in peer-reviewed journals). I have often tutored privately for friends and family, and they tell me I do a very good job.
I prefer one-on-one conversation in a question-and-answer format (Socratic method). However, sometimes a straightforward explanation is needed. For math tutoring, the best results come from working through problems step-by-step.

I have a bachelor's degree in acturial science and have studied extensively for acturarial exams. My studies have enabled me to master both higher- and lower-level mathematics and statistics. My background in paid tutoring includes College Algebra, Elementary statistics and statistical methods, but I've also helped classmates understand physics and chemistry classes. These classes came easy to me, and I feel I am a natural fit for tutoring these subjects as well.
