Psychology Professor/Reading Specialist

Over 25 years of teaching experience (all grade levels ~ from preschool to university graduate level courses). A Little Bit About Me...

Since I have entered the teaching profession I have worked with children of all elementary levels. This experience has provided me with the tools to work with all types of children from grades K-5. Since I have graduated from IUP I have worked primarily in an urban setting which has afforded me the opportunity to work with children of various backgrounds from affluent to homeless. I work well as a one on one special education aide because my attention is soley on the activities and education of my students. I have never been one who liked worksheets, but I loved hands on experience. My students did too. Once when we were studying prepositions, and the kids were having a hard time understanding them, I taped clouds on the wall in the hall way.
