I completed coursework in several biology and chemistry classes. This coursework included labs and field work. The biology labs I have experience in include: Zoology, Ecology, Freshwater Biology, Insect, and Fish Biology. These labs were highly detailed and included all levels of dissections, identification of species using taxonomic keys, and microscope work. The field work included species colllection, mapping, and sample collection. Lab reports and field notes were required as part of the labs. The seminars for these courses involved all aspects of biology and life sciences. The exams for these courses were involved and would require 2-5 page essays on biological systems. I am a fall graduate from Troy University and will be graduating with honors. I am currently a peer tutor at Troy in biology and math (algebra). A Little Bit About Me...

Working towards my B.S. in environmental studies I had the opportunity to work as a high school tutor in mathematics and science. I worked with children in a traditional manner, tutoring them after school by working through homework problems and past test/quiz questions. After graduation I began educating children at a nature center in a less traditional way. Here I worked with larger groups, taking them to explore nature, creating activities that were fun but also educational.
Having worked with children for many years in versatile environments, I have learned that every child has a unique way of learning.
