I have a gift for working with students who struggle. I know where they are going to trip up and I am prepared to answer the questions that they do not even know they will have! I know at least 3 or 4 different ways to explain different concepts so if your student does not understand one way, I have another way. I like to use manipulatives, worksheets, and other supplements when time permits. I like to be interactive- when I'm teaching I prefer to work through a problem with a student together the first time, letting the student more or less watch me.
