My experience includes teaching "at-risk" students from a wide variety of backgrounds and situations. I have taught sheltered, regular Pre-AP and AP. In addition, I serve as the Social Studies Department Chair. I write curriculum, build after-school tutoring programs, and design effective professional development for my teachers. Earning those degrees takes quite a bit of mathematical and analytical knowledge and skill. I went into these degree areas because they not only met one of many areas of interest to me but I also perceived they were perhaps more useful. However, I have a great interest and an immersion based education in history, civics, and political science based areas.
