My name is Veridiana, I am Brazilian, currently PhD student in environmental analysis and Territorial Dynamics at the State University of Campinas, Unicamp, Brazil, and I am a professor in the Colégio Visconde de Porto Seguro. My comments on tutoring Portuguese : Brazilian Portuguese

Normally I start my lessons with phonetics. I think this is the basis of learning Portuguese and it will give you confidence to keep on learning. Then I will introduce reading (you will be amazed how phonetics can help you with this!), grammar, vocabulary and conversation. Of course, I can add any other subject such as vocabulary for business, knowledge of the culture, customs, etc.
