I am originally from France. I did not know a great deal of English when I first came to the U.S. My everyday life taught me how to speak well, as well as some every day education from my wife and friends. Quickly, I became an independent French teacher for several KU students and developed my own program based on my experience of learning a new language. This program consists of situations and bases first, then working with grammatical rules with tests every week. Every answer includes interesting facts about French culture, which is fundamental in understanding the language.I had the chance to develop my teaching skills for a year and half and I am ready to help others speak, understand, and love French! As a native French speaking international student, I came to Emporia State University to obtain an MBA. Upon my arrival, I was offered a Graduate Teaching Assistant position to teach beginning French classes level 110 and 111. I taught during the four year of my academic carrier at ESU. It was a formidable experience and I have learned a lot on how to teach and help students. I have been asked after graduation to tutor a couple students here at ESU. I have discovered that in order to teach French and especially French grammar, most students didn’t know what an adverb, a noun or a subject was.
