Learn while having fun. My methods achieve results.

Very relaxed fun. Making the student feel comfortable and letting them figure the solution out on their own with as little imput as possible. Sort of like spotting in weighlifting. I also focus on a holistic method which is about understanding the problem with as little memorization is possible. The idea is if you can understand the concept then it is very easy to apply the answer with very little modification.
Held Study 2 hour sessions with over 10 students 3-5 times per week in Engineering Schools. Classes included: Calculus 1 & 2, Statics and Dynamics. Also did indivdual sessions. I am a well qualified math tutor and have 3 years of tutoring experience at the collegiate level. I was the lead math and engineering tutor for the University of New Mexico's Engineering Student Services (ESS) Department. I finished both my B.S. and M.S. degrees with a 3.4 and 3.6 GPA, respectively. In my time at UNM, I completed 30 hours of math from college algebra up to partial differential equations.

I am convinced, partly because of my own experiences, that the current educational system best serves the needs of the average student. I also believe that it seldom addresses the needs of those students whose learning style is not a good fit with the one size fits all educational system. This may be for a wide variety of reasons, but the result is that the student is left without the needed skill set to compete and what’s worse, left with the message that they are responsible for "not getting it" and are inferior or stupid in some respect. I nearly flunked junior high pre-algebra, and was a mediocre math student in high school. I make it my goal to find out as much as I can about the students, and then put them in those environments in an imaginative way in some sort of math problem.
