As I am a current Ph.D. student in English Literature, I have an immense interest in education--not only my own education but also the education of others. During my college career, I tutored for two years. I tutored first and second year undergraduates, consistently dealing with issues concerning reading comprehension, paper construction, grammar, and developmental thinking. I have also been teaching the last year (9th grade English) at a private school. My education (BA in English) successfully prepared me to teach the basics of English, i.e. grammar, sentence construction, identifying parts of speech, etc, as well as the less concrete ideas, such as theories, literary trends, intense analysis, and the like.
