I am currently in my third year of a bachelors of science in biology through the pre-medical track. I have a minor in physics as well as psychology. I work in the biomedical department in the Center for Neuroscience as a research investigator exploring the realm of rehabilitation and prosthetics with respect to stroke and traumatic spinal injuries. Over the past year, I served as an Americorps volunteer in an inner city charter school with an emphasis on character education. I worked one on one with students helping them with math, reading, and science skills. I assisted in classroom teaching of mini lessons too. I also helped with their after-school program, I also created supplemental study guides and multimedia software to help students to improve their study skills.
