I have tutored and educated staff to raise their knowledge and understanding in an effort to help them appreciate their role and the benefit of their effort toward the goals of the overall department and organization. It has been my privilege to work with many bright, wonderful people who often didn't know "why they were doing what they were doing" or how important their role/work was to the whole. As a manager, I knew/know that 'you can only be as good as your people'. I love to see people succeed and come to believe in themselves and their abilities. A Little Bit About Me...

It is my experience that an instructor delivers more learning when a student has an interest in the subject. "Inspire rather than require," has far greater efficacy in delivering information. I tend to make it fun, interesting and encourage student participation and feedback. Reward, a basic human desire, engenders craving for learning. As each individual’s qualities are unique, I try to determine if one is a visual, auditory or tactile learner. Analogies often make good teaching aids. For example, if the subject were human circulatory systems, shining a light through a leaf reveals veins similar to our own and is more apt to draw the student into the subject. When appropriate, I ask the student to teach me.
