PA Certified Mathematics Teacher - tutoring available

I am currently a 7th & 8th grade math teacher, as well as an adjunct professor in math. I am very familiar with the PA State Common Core Standards for these grades, as well as other grades. I also have tutored most college math classes, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Business Calculus and Calculus. I have tutored both one-on-one and in group settings.
In my classroom, I teach using learning centers on almost a daily basis. However, I am also familiar with more traditional settings involving a lecture style class.

I have always enjoyed working with children, especially those of the second, third, or fourth grade level. I am patient, helpful, and considerate. I believe that there are different ways to learn and attack problems, and that all children can succeed if only encouraged to do so. I also believe that practice and learning by doing are essential in learning. I always try to make a difference in students' lives.
Education has always been extremely important to me. I have recently retired, having taught third grade for over thirty years. I worked in the public school system during this time, tutoring Math.
