My personal philosophy embraces ownership, one of the top ingredients for successful learning. Personal ownership creates a more perceptive learning process. Students will be more willing to maintain their learning as they proceed throughout the year. Another way ownership makes a big academic difference is through motivation. Ownership will also create self-confidence. A good teacher demonstrates faith in their ability to achieve simply by making them part of the process. When asking them ‘what do you think;’ their participation will increase and they will better remember the facts being taught. Teaching has been something I have done a great deal of my life no matter what path I was on. When I was in nursing school, patient teaching was a strong point of mine. I love children.
