Since my earliest childhood memories, I have been fascinated and intrigued by languages and cultures. Following my passion, I chose my majors in high-school to be English and French, engaging as much as possible in their cultures (e.g. exchange programs, penfriends, courses abroad). During those years, I simultaneously attended a music college for classical flute and made my first teaching experiences in teaching flute, as well as tutoring high school students in French, English and Latin. I obtained a MS and BS in botany following 10 years of managing retail houseplant greenhouses. I have basic knowledge in a variety of sciences, and i particularly enjoy algebra and trigenometry. My college experience and training has allowed me to get excellent insight into both of my majors. I have learned the language and culture of not only Germany but also ancient cultures. My various challenges along the way pushed me to achieve higher goals and led me to the completion of my two bachelor degrees, BA in German Studies and BA in Classical Civilization. From my anthropology classes I gained my experience in teaching freshmen, juniors and seniors from diverse backgrounds. I firmly believe i can tutor students in German and most humanities arts.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently certified in the state of Arizona in the following subjects: English, Latin and general sciences. I teach two courses of Latin at Glendale Community College, Glendale, Arizona. One class is in the classroom and the other is on the Internet. I also am a substitute teacher in Peoria, Arizona.
My teaching style is quite organized, but also empathetic. I allow for students to use their various aptitudes and abilities to learn. For example, when a student normally presents a report to the class, that student reads from his notes. I had one student who was musically inclined and played her guitar to make her presentation. She used her musical skills quite effectively.
