A Little Bit About Me...

Attaining two degrees has opened my eyes to many different teaching styles and ways of learning. I believe that the most effective way to learn and teach is to explain concepts and theories thoroughly before any application of these concepts. I believe that in order to really learn a subject, and not just memorize it, the theory must be understood. I have tutored high school students and fellow college students in the past, and working as a team to explore the concepts behind the applications has proved to be successful for students' understanding of subject matter and, in the process, furthering my own.

Although I have little teaching experience, I love working with all ages of people. While studying for my undergrad in economics I found a passion in helping others succeed as I was. I often held study sessions with groups ranging from 2- 10 people at least twice a week. When during these sessions if an individual felt lost, I would often meet with them at a later date to coach them separately.
