College educated years of experience with "At Risk" students

I believe that every student I have ever worked with has been more than capable of understanding and excelling at whatever material we are working on. The problem I often see is either a lack of focus or loss of determination/ confidence due to not agreeing or benefiting from their teachers teaching style. With this in mind I gain an understanding of what the student understands and work with them to let them figure the problems out trying multiple approaches and explanations.

Physics is one of my top subjects! I completed a minor in physics at the University of South Florida and have 3 years experience tutoring physics.

I am a firm believer in the effectiveness of the Socratic method. Rather than tell the student how to solve a certain problem, I prefer to ask guiding questions to encourage them to think critically about the problem and reach the solution on their own.
