Over those years I have taught 1st grade for two years, and Middle School Grades 6-8 Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies. Getting to know the student and relating thier interests to the material at hand is key to making a connection. I also believe it is critical to remain positive and supportive with students. At some point every student becomes frustrated by material that is challenging to them.
