A Little Bit About Me...

As a person I have always held my work ethic to remarkable standards. I've finished an Associate's Degree in two years flat, and am well on my way to having completed a bachelor's in only three and a half years time. Along my studies I have worked to support myself, as well as bring others up in my wake, tutoring colleagues and counseling those in need of a friend, and I have challenged myself, being one of few to attend the first ever Honors English course at Gordon College, and coming out with an A+. I continue to work hard, and I strive to set an example for all future generations, and I hope that by building off of my accomplishments, they can achieve things they've only dreamed of.

A teacher must care about people. It is not enough to have the knowledge of the material. You must be very aware of body language and read the group to determine if you need to restate the concept. A good teacher will ask a question and will not answer until a group discussion occurs. A good teacher ensures the group feels comfortable to think outside the box withou fear of embarrassment. Use of several medias in addition to course material is key to keep the attention of the group. However, again, none of this is effective if you do not have a genuine desire to see the knowledge you have of the material transferred to the individuals receiving the message.
