My comments on tutoring Spanish : I'm not currently fluent, but I have lots of experience with Spanish in both classrooms and in cultural settings. I would love to help with a 1st or 2nd year level class.

I am about to complete my first year at IU School of Dentistry. I completed my B.S. in Biology at IPFW with a 4.0 GPA and love learning! Science is my specialty but I enjoy other subjects as well. I have experience so far tutoring college-level genetics, both high school and college-level statistics, assisting a student getting her GED online, as well as teaching organic and general chemistry to a student getting ready to take the DAT. I would love to work with any age, but high school and college level is where my expertise lies.
I am an upbeat and positive person and am willing to adapt to students' needs. I'm willing to work through homework with students, create study plans, review notes or use whatever other methods the student finds helpful.

I am currently a Senior at Bethel College. I will recieve a bachelor's in Psychology at May 1, 2011. I have been tutoring since the summer of 2010. I tutored pre-algebra this summer during my internship at Bashor Children's Home in Goshen Indiana. I am currently tutoring College Pre-Algebra at Bethel College. I have excelled in Written Communications 3, Reseach Methods, College Statistics, and the psychology courses that I have taken. I have also taken 4.5 years of Spanish. I graduated with a BA in Spanish Education in 2005. I then taught in IL for a year at a small school teaching Spanish 2, 3, and 4. I then got accepted at Purdue University as a Spanish Graduate Teaching Assistant. While there I taught 4 semesters of SPAN 102. After grad school I got a job in Fort Wayne, IN teaching Spanish 1 and 2 at a large suburban high school.
I love working with teenagers, however, over the last five years I've realized that I much prefer working with them on a small group or one-on-one basis. Especially with a foreign language it is much easier for the student to grasp concepts one-on-one. I am familiar with many websites the student can use to supplement tutoring time too.
