I enjoy tutoring those who are in Middle School or High school. I feel as though they tend to have a higher capacity for sustaining attention. Those are unique ages that can really build a foundation for later education. I believe that one-on-one time is essential in learning. I love working with teenagers, however, over the last five years I've realized that I much prefer working with them on a small group or one-on-one basis. Especially with a foreign language it is much easier for the student to grasp concepts one-on-one. I am familiar with many websites the student can use to supplement tutoring time too. My undergraduate degree is in French however I took extensive coursework in mathematics and chemistry and have a good understanding of all the sciences. I have taught 4 and 5th grade in the Texas School Systems for 24 years. I worked as a retired teacher in the Adams Wells Special Services Coop for 3 years (2006-2009)as a teacher's aide with special needs students both in the elementary and high school levels.
