Currently I am employed as a home-based Family Specialist in Social Work. I teach parenting to persons in their homes. As I teach adults new parenting methods, I also teach children how to respond more appropriately to their parents, thus creating a win/win situation. By earning a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and a Master of Science in Management, I have learned skills that are necessary in both the personal and work world. I have been teaching children since 1990, when I worked as a Naturalist for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. I did this kind of education for 3 years. I then created my own educational company and presented workshops on natural resource topics for children and adults from 1997-2002. I worked at LearningRX as a cognitive skills trainer where I worked with students who were having difficulty in school and I was able to find their areas of difficulty and help build those areas up while also helping with their memory, visual acuity, and processing speed.
