I am a recent graduate from the University of Florida from the College of Education with a BA in Elementary Education. I entered the ProTeach program during my junior year at UF. I have been exposed to a lot of teaching strategies and ideas that have been used in the classroom from the past until the present. I had the opportunity to use these practices in actual classrooms by developing lesson plans to teach elementary students. I have the experience of being the teacher in the classroom and working with students one-on-one with reading and math. A Little Bit About Me...

I was brought up by both of my parents, which I am lucky to say they are both teachers. After I was born my mother stayed a housewife, but my father kept on studying, and teaching at many levels. He has now a PhD, and I am following in his footsteps, not quite same specialties but similar. Throught my working career of over 19 years, I have learned many skills and trades. But the one I have truly loved is learning new things continuosly. I am most comfortable training and tutoring in areas of language, business, basic math, computer skills and knowledge are my forte. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been working as a private tutor from my home or student's home for 3 years. I have tutored elementary through college level students. I am able to teach a variety of subjects, however my forte is English and Composition. I have the honor of being a published author. I am an expert in MLA or APA style writing. I have also tutored in College Algebra, elementary math, Biology, and Reading. I speak conversational French, and am able to teach up to the secondary level.
It is my belief that everyone is able to learn, and what produces that ability is having support. So many instructors give up on those not favored as "prized" students, and in turn, these students just slide through. I know it takes time and effort to get some students enthused about education, and I make it my goal to help them with this.
