First,I show my students I deeply care how they feel about learning. I help them identify their blocks to learning and success and help put them at ease. I know how to adapt my style to the particular age I am working with. I am very patient. I know proven strategies to help students master basic skills and more complex skills, using their style of learning. I majored in elementary education, earned a dual master's degree in culturally disadvantaged education and reading through a federal fellowship. I want to first stress that I am only an assistant on their learning journey, not the protagonist. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been working as a private tutor from my home or student's home for 3 years. I have tutored elementary through college level students. I am able to teach a variety of subjects, however my forte is English and Composition. I have the honor of being a published author. I am an expert in MLA or APA style writing. I have also tutored in College Algebra, elementary math, Biology, and Reading. I speak conversational French, and am able to teach up to the secondary level.
It is my belief that everyone is able to learn, and what produces that ability is having support. So many instructors give up on those not favored as "prized" students, and in turn, these students just slide through. I know it takes time and effort to get some students enthused about education, and I make it my goal to help them with this.
