I am a retired school teacher that misses teaching children.I taught in a NJ public School for over 30 years. I actually taught in the same school district I attended as a child. My expertise is in 5th & 6th grades, but am available for grades 2-8. I have some science background and taught technology also.
I loved teaching! I think I retired too early because I miss the every day challenges and excitement teaching gives! I have been trained in 4Mat and Gardners Multiple Intelligences. I firmly believe "every child can learn" as long as you teach to their learning style. My daughter is following in my foot steps and will start her first teaching job in September. I truly believe if we show a child we care they can learn anything!

I have a Minnesota teaching license in PreK age 3-K, Elementary Education K-6, and Middle School Math 5-8. I have returned to college twice to add additional licenses to continue my education. I have been a licensed teacher since 2004 with a wide variety of experience including a classroom teacher, preschool teacher, after school teacher working with small groups of elementary children struggling in math and reading, teaching summer school to middle school students struggling in math, and one-on-one tutoring to elementary age children to get them caught up or back on track.

Prior, I had taken and earned over a 90% in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and AP calculus. While completing an MFA from WCSU, I began 3 years of service as a tutor with NY GEAR UP of The Research Foundation of SUNY, providing academic assistance to students, grades 9-12th in core and non-core subjects, as well as Regents, SAT, and ACT exam prep.
