A Little Bit About Me...

I feel as though I am highly qualified and competitive for a teaching position because of my abilities to relate to children of all ages. As a volunteer basketball referee at Northside Baptist Church, Upward basketball program since 1998, I work with children between the ages of 7 and 13. I teach them about basketball and sportsmanship. As a parent of a 17 year old son, I constantly mentor him and his friends on life, school and everything in between. I love tutoring and mentoring kids, period. It's spiriturally rewarding to me as an adult to have a part in a child's development. I believe every child is special. There's is no doubt in my mind that if a tutor approach is based on patience, quality time and empathy, he or she will be successful and effective. The latter mentioned characteristics has always been viewed by me as the hallmarks of tutoring.
