I have been a full-time teacher for the past three years and substitute taught for one year. The past two years I have taught seventh and eighth grade math and social studies and sixth grade reading. I have loved teaching and still keep in touch with many of my former students. In fact, I have taught many of their children! I seem to end up helping students with more than just their homework. I have always had a talent for understanding that not everyone "gets it the first time." I had much trouble with science myself. When I was responsible for hiring teachers, I usually wasn't a fan of those with 4.0 averages. I was afraid they wouldn't have the patience to answer the same question 10 times!
