I have always loved to teach, and loved to travel and meet new people. This led to traveling for a summer during college to Mexico City, living with a Spanish-speaking family. I also spent twelve weeks in West Africa teaching ESL and speaking French before my senior year at OBU. After graduation, I lived in Northern California (where I had also spent a summer during college), teaching ESL to adult Mexican immigrants, tutoring middle-school Korean students, and spending one summer in Southeast Asia while earning a Masters and TESL certificate. During the attainment of my undergraduate degree, I conducted research under my professor, Dr. Greg Powell. Throughout the research, I gathered many skills one being creative in learning, as well as, presenting new material and teaching it to fellow peers and professors. I have also worked as a teacher’s assistant, running a chemistry lab of about - five students.
