A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a strong desire to learn and share with others the knowledge that I have. I enjoy being around people, especially ones that are eager to learn. With my experience of working with people with learning disabilities, I have learned to become very patient and understanding of other peoples learning needs. I have also learned how to provide an environment that best fits the student’s needs. I feel that the best way for people to learn is through doing things on their own. As a tutor, I feel as though I act as a guide for the student to discover their own knowledge. I love helping other learn. Graduating from BYU-Idaho, I've learned that a quality education is of the utmost importance, not only for college-age students, but starting from infancy. I've earned my BS in Health Science, enabling me to have a greater knowledge of the health and wellness field in general. Also, I've learned to publish various professional research papers, adding to my grammatical, mathematical, and critical thinking skills. A Little Bit About Me...

I have found much satisfaction from overcoming challenges. While in academic pursuits, many subjects may at first seem difficult. Such tough times are great opportunities to gain confidence by finding a personal path to clarity. By knowing where the student needs to get, I am able to encourage them to discover their unique way of understanding which often differs from their school teacher's instructions. I know that each student, with the right mixture of desire and encouragement, can acquire a command of any subject, however intimidating it may seem. I sleep well when a student's focused efforts have led to scholastic achievement.
