A Little Bit About Me...

I approach teaching on an individual level. Not everyone can learn the oboe or flute in the same approach. This is why one must utilize various teaching techniques to best fit each student. I also believe in making the learning enjoyable, yet valuable to the student. Any performing musician should have a theoretical and historical knowledge of the music they are playing. This will provide the student with the proper style in which to perform the piece and convey it's true potential as an art form. My goal is to produce not only technically accomplished students but well rounded musicians.

I have currently worked at the Herkimer ARC for the past eight years. I have alot of experience working with people with disabilites from severe Mental Retardation, Cerebal Palsy,Autism, Learning Disability and Mental Heath. I have obtained a degree from Herkimer College in applied science with a minor in education. I also went to Mohawk Valley Community College for two years to obtain a degree in Nursing.
